The London Wedding Choir was founded in Knightsbridge in 2021 and brings together Britain’s finest choral talent to create unforgettable musical moments on your wedding day.

Our singers perform with world-renowned ensembles including BBC Singers, The Sixteen, the Monteverdi Choir, and the choirs of  St Paul’s Cathedral, Temple Church, Westminster Abbey, and the Chapel Royal at Hampton Court Palace. They appear frequently at prestigious events such as BBC Proms and in BBC Radio broadcasts, and tour internationally as professional artists.

With a substantial pool of carefully hand-picked singers, we are always ready to tailor the perfect ensemble for your celebration — whether a full choir for a grand cathedral or a smaller ensemble for an intimate chapel service. We’ve even arranged choirs with less than 24 hours’ notice, thanks to our responsive team and exceptional network of vocal talent.

Our founder and Musical Director, Benedict Lewis-Smith, understands the art of graceful improvisation — he chose his own wedding suit with less than a day to spare. (Don’t tell his wife.)

Our founder and Musical Director

Benedict Lewis-Smith studied music at the University of Oxford, following a place as a specialist musician at Wells Cathedral School. He is Director of Music at St Columba’s Church, Knightsbridge, and maintains a thriving freelance career as a conductor, accompanist, and vocal coach.

Benedict has founded choirs for leading London firms and, in 2018, established his own ensemble, The Iona Consort. He has recorded on Resonus Classics and his recording on Regent Records, alongside Julian Collings, earned 5-star reviews in BBC Music Magazine.
